Whole-Home Renovations in East Grand Rapids & Grand Rapids

You love where you live. The house just doesn’t work anymore. We renovate the way we build new: one fixed number, our own crews, and one Highline team running the job.

The best new home is often the one you already own.

The kitchen is closed off, the baths are original, the windows leak, and the layout was made for another decade.

In East Grand Rapids and the neighborhoods off Lake Drive, Hall Street and Breton, there’s almost no open land to build on. So we rebuild from the inside out, with the same process, crews and standards as our custom homes.

01

One fixed number

Drawings, selections and a fixed cost estimate before work starts. No open-ended time and materials.

02

Whole-house thinking

Layout, structure, mechanicals, windows, insulation and finishes planned together, so you don’t pay twice.

03

One team runs it

The Highline team leads every project from the first walk-through to the final punch list, with one point of contact.

04

Our own crews

The same framing and finish carpenters who build our custom homes.

05

New work that belongs

Trim, floors and finishes matched to the house, so the renovation looks like it was always there.

06

Phases if you want them

Split the work into phases, each with its own fixed number, and commit only to what you’re ready for.

Whole homes, not single rooms.

Our work is whole-home and multi-room. Smaller single-room jobs usually fit a remodeling specialist better, and we’re happy to point you to one.

  • Whole-home renovations and gut remodels
  • Kitchens and open-concept main floors, including load-bearing walls
  • Finished lower levels
  • Additions: primary suites, second stories, garages
  • Windows, doors and the exterior envelope
  • Older homes that need structure and systems brought up to date

Renovate or rebuild?

We build both, so we’ll tell you straight.

Sometimes the honest answer is to tear down and build new on your lot. Because we do both, we have no reason to push you one way.

On a walk-through we’ll tell you which makes more sense for your house and your budget.

Questions, answered

Do you do small remodels?

Our sweet spot is whole-home and multi-room projects. If yours is a single bathroom, we’ll tell you on the first call and point you to someone good.

Can we live in the house during the renovation?

Sometimes, depending on scope. For a full gut, most families move out for part of the project, and we plan the phases around that with you.
